Irwin K. Liu, Esq.
Chief Executive Officer

Irwin Liu is the Chief Executive Officer, Counsel and one of the principal Shareholders of Summit Associates. Irwin joined Summit Associates in 1985. He is also the senior partner of Liu & Choy, working as one of the closing attorneys for HSBC, M&T Bank, Columbia Equities Ltd, and The Chinese American Bank. He is admitted to the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the New York Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Liu was a board member of the Board of the Nassau County Industrial Development Agency until December 2006, which promotes the development of commerce and industry in Nassau County by providing tax and financial assistance to qualified applicants. He has also served on numerous Banks and not for profit organizations in the Chinese Community.

Irwin is the author of numerous articles about title insurance and has been profiled and quoted in The New York Times and Chinese Real Estate Weekly. He has been featured on The History Channel. He is former counsel to The National Association of Asian American Professionals and is a licensed real estate and casualty/property insurance broker. Some of Irwin's notable work includes work for The Government of Malaysia, Ka Wah Bank Headquarters, The Government of Brunei, and advisor in the trust and estates department for The Bank of New York. Over the last 20 years, he had worked as closing attorney for many banks, such as Chase, The Chinese American Bank, First Bank of Arizona, GreenPoint, HSBC, IndyMac, National City Bank, Washington Mutual Bank and Wells Fargo.

Irwin earned his Doctor of Law from Emory University. He did his undergraduate work at Boston University.
